We recently shared the pretty cool engagement photos of Franco & Lara and we were so excited about their upcoming nuptials in November 2015.
Franco’s surname is Kinnear which is of Scottish origin, and theĀ entire wedding was full of special traditions true to Scottish wedding customs. From the exchange of items such as a knife and wheat to symbolize taking care of and protecting each other, the father of the groom pinning of a family crest button pin on the bride’s dress symbolizing acceptance into their ‘clan’ or family to the Quaich, a two-handled loving cup filled with whiskey used as the first communion between a newly wed couple and later shared with families/friends who partake in celebrating the new bond. We cannot choose our favourite moment – although the bagpiper was a definite front runner.
HavingĀ Harmonie Proteas Venue as the backdrop for their special day, it was bound to be a spectacular and beautiful celebration.
If it is meant to be – you make it happen.
Wees altyd mekaar se wingman…
hartklop…
Saam vat jul elke tree…
saam, saam, saam…
mekaar se skaduwee
